Jess and Kitty
Long time ago, Jess cat was friend with Kitty mouse. Jess and Kitty lived in a same house in the village which near a river. Kitty was an emotional cat while Jess was wishy-washy. Though, they lived happily and helped each other.
One day, Jess and Kitty went to the market near the river to buy some fish as their lunch. All their money for food was collected and handled by Jess. At first, they had decided to buy four fishes and then divided the fish into a half and a half for them. Kitty was curious with the exhibition beside the fish store, so that she asked Jess’s permission to go there for a moment. However, some unexpected things happened when she left Jess. Jess bought eight fish because she thought that two fishes for her still made her hungry. She broke the agreement with Kitty and be confident that Kitty never felt angry to her. When they had lunch together, Kitty realized that too much fishes were served on the table. She asked Jess why it happened. Jess said the truth. But Kitty was angry because Jess didn’t discuss it first with her. She felt ignored by her best friends. .
“ Even I have told you the truth, you snap at me? Every day I work hard so I need much food. If you don’t, just go out! ”, Jess was getting angry.
“You do this because you want eat much more than me? Don’t you realize that our budget is getting less?” said Kitty angrily.
Jess just kept silent. Kitty left Jess alone, murmured and grumbled along the way. Then he sat in the border of river. Once, a crocodile came up from the water and greeted her.
“Why do look so upset, cat?”, asked Crocodile.
“I was betrayed by my best friend, mouse. She only thought about her. She bought too much fishes for her without considering our low budget. But that was not big problem. The only thing makes me disappointed is that she didn’t consider me anymore”, said Kitty.
Then Crocodile said,” Owh.. , don’t be sad again.. if you need some food , just fish in my river. I am welcome to you. “Really”, replied Kitty.
“And ask your pal, Mouse, to fish with you here. Don’t be angry with her again. Everything can be discussed, friend.” Crocodile advised.
Then, Kitty came back to her house, looked for Jess to apologize. At the same time, Jess had realized her mistake then promised not to repeat her wishy-washy again. Now, they realized that friendship was the more valuable thing than just a food.
